How does the NanoSeptic Surface work?
One of the components of the surface is a mineral nano-crystal which acts as a catalyst, charged by visible light. These nano-crystals create a continuous oxidation reaction stronger than bleach. This oxidation reaction breaks down organic material into base components such as CO2. The surface also forms free radicals which act as an additional cleaning agent.
What do you mean by "self-cleaning"?
The NanoSeptic surface continuously oxidizes organic contaminants at the microscopic level. Large scale contaminants must still be removed to allow the surface to do its job. This is similar to disinfectants, which require surfaces to be cleaned before the disinfectant can be effective.
How should I clean NanoSeptic surfaces?
Simply use water or traditional non-abrasives and a microfiber cloth to clean the surface. Avoid the use of abrasive cleaners such as disinfectants. This will alter the nanocrystals on the surface rendering it ineffective. Removal of large scale contaminants or debris from the surface to maximize its effectiveness.
How long do NanoSeptic products last?
On average 90 days. NanoSeptic surfaces have a wear life, not a shelf life. The heavier the traffic on the surface the quicker it will wear. Replacement of surfaces quarterly with fresh skins are recommended to ensure the maximum effectiveness of the surface.
How do I know when to replace NanoSeptic surfaces?
Every quarter (90 days) is a good rule to follow. Signing up for Janitronics subscription service can aid in the maintenance of this for your facility. Another indicator is when the graphics begin to fade it may be time for a replacement. A fresh image on the surface will appeal to the user and is a sign of a completely protected surface.
